To me, in Cambodia, nothing seems to be what it is.
You order your favorite drink, let say: Fanta, and you’re drinking only water, sugar, flavorings, preservatives and other additives and not the real orange juice without flavorings, preservatives ect. you're used to in your country of origin (I hope so).

It’s the same with your bought souvenirs. It state “made in Cambodia”, but it’s imported from China, Indonesia or Cambodia’s neighbors. Or it is said that it is made in Thailand or Japan, while it is made in Cambodia. Just, because Cambodians think their products are inferior of those coming from Thailand or Japan.

Especially rural people have this attitude, feeling inferior then others, while they grow or make the most wonderful products.
P’gaa hopes in the near future to sell these wonderful products on a fair trade basis, and by doing so, give those people more self confidence and pride.
